★ Our Interview with Antonio Sabato Jr: ★

Antonio Sabato Jr is is an American actor and model. Antonio first became known as a Calvin Klein model and for his role on the soap opera General Hospital. He continued appearing in films and television series. He guest-starred in Charmed series in two episodes“Ms. Hellfire” and “Give Me a Sign.” as Bane Jessup. (Bane was one of Prue’s loves and he cared for her.) Antonio was kind enough to take his time and do this interview with us about his role in Charmed.

•Charmed Daily: How would you describe your character Bane Jessup in three words? •Antonio Sabato Jr: Strong, loving & passionate.

• CD: What’s the thing that comes right on your mind when you think of your character ( Bane Jessup)?•ASJ: Bane was a cool strong character with a big heart who truly cared for PRUE. I was fortunate enough to have played such a great character on Charmed. It was only one episode that Aaron Spelling offered me however, he later then called me back, which by the way was really cool! Aaron was a genius and a good friend and was always a class act, anyway, going back to the question. Bane was a blast to play and having the girls there made it even more fun.

•CD: If you would have to choose between “Ms. Hellfire” and “Give Me a Sign.” (You were fantastic in both episodes) which episode would you choose as your favorite? •ASJ: I can’t really choose because they were both fun and interesting, and there was some time in between, so it was like a new show to come to after the first one. And, it was so exciting to work with Shannen again as we did a movie together with director William Friedkin called Jailbreakers also starring Adrien Brody. I had a great time doing it! I missed the crew and the girls;I really wanted to come back and talk stories and catch up…

•CD: How was working with Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty? •ASJ: It was great working with the girls..they were sweet pros and a lot of fun to be around, really easy to work with and full of big smiles..they were all great!

•CD: Is there any memory that you will always remember (something funny that happened) on set of Charmed (episodes you guest starred in)? •ASJ: The memories are all pretty good, going to work doing a great show with huge popularity. Awesome cast full of really amazing people„ all I can remember was the professionalism and the care that came from Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty. The guest stars and the crew…were truly angels!
